Frequently Asked Question's
Do I need to get more than one estimate?
No. You are only required to get one estimate. You may choose the shop of your choice and then inform your insurance company. We would be happy to contact your insurance company with your estimate on your behalf.
Do I have to go where the insurance company tells me?
No. You have the right to bring your vehicle to Schade’s Auto Body or any repair facility of your choice.
What about my deductible?
Your deductible is due and payable directly to Schade’s Auto Body at time of pick up. You are responsible for your deductible and the insurance company will pay the remaining balance.
How long do repairs usually take?
Each repair is unique. But once a written estimate is provided, we will provide you with an estimated delivery date. Also, we will keep you updated throughout the entire repair process.
Will you use "filler" or "bondo" on my car?
Each repair is different. In some cases body ‘filler’ is used with those repairs and Schade’s Auto Body does provide a lifetime guarantee from defects in the workmanship.
Does the insurance company pay you or will they pay me?
Each insurance company is different. If you prefer to have payment sent directly to the shop, just mention this when receiving your estimate and we will coordinate payment with the insurance company.
What happens if you start repairs and find more damage?
An estimate is prepared for you based on the visible damage seen (it is just an estimate, not a quote). Once we start repairs, it is common to find damaged items under the removed panels. At this point we contact the insurance company (if applicable) and/or you the consumer, to notify, explain, or even show you what we have found. If an insurance company is involved we will directly bill the insurance company so any damages related to your accident will not have to be paid by you.

To verify this, you may use the online site of : www.collisionboard.ohio.gov then go to license verification.
